The Board
The Board is the collegial governing body of the Transport Regulation Authority. It adopts regulatory acts within the Authority’s remit, as well as measures related to its organization and operation. The Board typically meets weekly at the Authority’s headquarters.
The Board is composed of the President and two Members, who are designated, with due consideration for gender balance, among persons of high ethical standards, independence, and recognized expertise in the Authority’s areas of responsibility. They are designated by the Council of Ministers upon proposal of the competent Minister, and are appointed by the President of the Republic. Both the President and the Members serve a non-renewable seven-year term.
The first Board of the Transport Regulation Authority was appointed by Decree of the President of the Republic of 9 August 2013, published in the Official Gazette of the Italian Republic (SG No 217 of 16 September 2013), and took office in Turin on 17 September 2013.
The second Board was appointed by Decree of the President of the Republic of 19 October 2020, published in the Official Gazette of the Italian Republic (SG No 286 of 17 November 2020), and took office in Turin on 28 October 2020.
